I picked it up a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to get started.
The rear N/S wheel bearing was totally gone, so as soon as I got back I got a replacement sorted and fitted it myself. While it was up on the ramp I had a proper poke around underneath and was super chuffed to find that it's totally solid underneath! The paintwork is pretty rough, it's been poorly resprayed at some point, which is now peeling quite badly in places (the roof is the worst!). Hopefully I'll get enough spare cash next year to get it properly resprayed.
So, next on the cards was to get the suspension sorted.

While I had the hubs off at the front I swapped them for another set with 282s installed, which instantly feels much better over the standard brakes. I also fitted a standard B18C4 manifold that I had lying around, as I heard that they can give a decent little gain over the standard B16 manifold. As my Teins are fork fitment I had to swap the JDM LCAs out, so while I was doing that I also fitted a Tegiwa Beaks replica tie bar. I'd read that these can have fitment issues, but no problems here. The only other thing to do was to get new tyres fitted to my Rays RB Champs and get them on in place of the Rotas. I've gone for a set of Uniroyal Rainsport II, I've read good things about them and after a few good days of driving in heavy rain I have to say that I'm very impressed!
Interior wise, I've just fitted a fairly cheap Sony head unit (one with a AUX input in the front) and I also swapped the standard steering wheel for a nice genuine Nardi wheel that I've had for a while, much better!
Next job I've got is to give sort out the leaky sump gasket, give the car a full service and fit the Evo IV Recaros my lady picked up for me as a Christmas present! Lucky me!
