I'll trade ya
I've got one with the stick on surround which you need for the VT as well.

I've made a dual switch plate out of a spare coin (or whatever the feck it's supposed to be for) holder, but I have to choose my switches carefully as really they need to be hot glued in place.
Still, it's better than not having one.

dublin , ireland jap imports have been popular here for years , i lived in milton keynes in 2002 i brought my old black 25xt with me, all the lads my age were driving savage rs turbos and novas etc (rare in ireland). they never seen a civic like mine back then a lot of them were mad for it because of all the extras a/c electrics , fogs, twincarbs , etc.. i was going to swap it with a bloke for a 90 16v gti golf i didnt in the end :D

ahh cool man, very rare those Shuttles!!

been doing some work on the Shuttle today, or trying to!

bought 4 fog lamps off ebay before christmas, had to make new brackets, then i wired them up only to find they dont fuckin work!! typical!!
think i might forget about the foglights. i cant find any the right size, and the three pairs of second hand ones ive bought dont work. if i cant find anymore that work, then the size ive cut is all wrong, so may have to just flush them over. fed up looking for any more!
:x

swopped rocker covers, only to find something is up with #2 spark plug, as the HT lead doesnt sit down properly... also the two large washers were nakered, so need to get two of those from somewhere.
:x

took it round the block to free up the brakes, and think i need a new wheel bearing or CV joint, as there some funny noise on the left hand side of the car
:x

one of the belts is squeeking, not sure if it could be the PAS one, and the car is a bit lumpy on idle, and the clutch is also being noisey, even though it was replaces 3 months before i bought it!
:x

and the new radiator i got is leaking!
:x

seriously loosing my rag with this car!! i just dont have the time or patients at the moment to sort it all out. and i doubt i can afford to fix it all
:x

why cant a magical Honda fairy comes and fixes bits in the night!!??

Sounds like a bad time marc!

The clutch could of been replaced? just not replaced the release bearing?

bad times indeed. ive got expensive things going missing in the post im going to have to refund, things got broken etc... all S*!t happening at once as usual

I have a receipt for full 3 piece clutch kit fitted end of january 2009, i bought it in april 2009

gearbox is also very stiff. takes ages for it to 'warm' up to select a gear

im hoping to get some things done, made roadworthy and to pass the MOT, then im just going to store it with a very good 4guk chap while im away

i wanted to get everything done asap and before JAE, but at this rate i wont be attending as travelling the world (or part of it) is more important to me right now

cryz2 wrote:marc as for the clutch and gear , box !!!

have a look at the level of the gear box oil,

this could be the problem
that was also done the same time as the clutch. theres nothing on the floor where its been standing. but there was some kind of leak before i cleaned it up. ill take note of that mate

also james (chapman) made a good point, that the pressure in the collant system is too high and keeps bursting the radiators...? water pump? ive bled the system properly every time ive changed the radiator, with new coolant.
