Hi Guy's ,

I have recently seen a couple of these on Ebay all with damage to the garnish one went for £256 from New Zealand.
There is also one from Japan currently running at the moment close to £500

For that reason I started designing my own.
I have been working on a little project to replicate the original part.
Currently I am getting the vinyl graphics made up to help me with the task in my design.
I have built a proto type and it works very well.
I intend to tweak this a little bit where it will be aqua with the side lights and this will go off and to red when under braking.
Give or take I can make this different colours with in reason.
This is all IP65 protected against the weather.

The garnish looks very similar to the factory part.
The garnish sits exactly the same as stock on the tail gate.
I would make a production run of these as I have a couple of spare trims to play with.
I can only do this on the red reflectors, When I work out a cost for the conversion I would like to offer this to anyone who maybe interested ?
If I don't have one n stock, for a fee if you send me yours I will convert it, Then send it back to you.
Typically it takes me about a day to make this.
This is all hand made I'm getting the stickers made so they are clean and crisp.

That's Is rather impressive that you replicated it. It looks exactly the same. I'd be interested in one asking as the price is good

Thank you, it took me a while to brake down the original via online pictures as to how I could make this.
I'm fairly confident I could make this for a CRX garnish also.
Have you any idea on a price.?
Granted this is a replica and not an original, but subsequently a very rare part.

Not for me to be honest. Think the lights at the back look good as they are. On a very clean looking Red 4G may just pull it off but anything other than that is a no no. I'm quite tempted to say it's a bit takki but that's just MY opinion of MY taste! Alot of bloody money to for an illuminated sign

I agree but the original part is super rare, Hence the high price for an original.

I don't intend to charge big £ for my replicas.
I am however contemplating making these in real carbon, mould an original and sell these as stock or with the emblem illuminated in carbon.
I wonder if anyone would also be interested in this, to make it worth my while as this will be made from scratch and will be completely obsolete. please let me know your thoughts.

The problem I have is I only have a few in stock to do this and these have a couple of broken clips on the back. Granted people who want theirs converted it isn't really a problem but to sell these off the shelf trying to find ones to buy could be a nightmare as I have seen these on ebay for like £60 for a standard part.
which in turn push's the price up.

I have the JDM one on my Civic
UK garnish reflector is a brighter red than a JDM garnish. So I am getting both colours made up.
I have just come back from abroad and will be picking up all of the decals mid next week, So I can start production.
To be honest I want to make sure they are perfect before I take orders.

Converted prices £150 for forum members this includes the UK postage price back to you.
Colours of the garnish light:-

Red
Blue
Green
Yellow
Purple
White
Amber
I'm working on trying to find the original colour. If anyone has some suggestions please feel free.
The only way I can think of is transparent film over a clear led or a coloured dye over a clear led.
If there is a colour that your particularly after, please feel free to contact me.
