After bringing it home I thought I'd try some of the red pin stripe on bumper strips after having it on my last EF.. A much as it looks quite I wanted to go OEM... And the red stripe should really be Orange.. So I went to honda and priced the tapes and got the colours available for the EF9 and after seeing that metallic silver was originally on the car.. I bought some  bought a replacement SIR badge for the rear as a little bit was missing, and bought some MTF 3 gearbox oil :D yet to be put in though as I'm deciding what I want to do with the gearbox.. Diff bearing is noisy but not overly noticeable.. I could maybe build one great gearbox out of the 3 gearboxes I have.. Or if I decide to go down the b18 route of thereabouts ill maybe get an s80 box as I can get one at a reasonable price from a good friend..

Besides all this...

Today was a big test for the Civic!! Nerves were destroyed because I'm dying to get it on the road...

Moment of truth...

Image

Don't think the MOT guy looked too happy in it :/

Image

Other than that....... IT PASSED :D progression..... It's insured now so just have to wait till Monday before I can go in and register it... Then it's a waiting game on my new registration coming then time to enjoy!!!!

I'm glad you didn't see it  or I most likely wouldn't have had it! And it'll get treated better than I treat the wife! Although I plan to get her on the insurance one day

Seen it once and VTEC on it is badass haha. Wanted to say goodbye to it, but sadly didn't have the time. Plans on this?

Yea it's great fun I must say... B series is all new to me and having little torque.. But once they get going they're great :drivegear: plans are just to tidy up little bits and pieces, fit my oem metallic silver pin stripe to bumper strips then decide what I'm going to do with the gearbox... But I'd like a bit more from the car power wise and if that means going for a b16b or b18c then ill have to consider going that way.. I don't plan on ever selling it so I don't think I'll mind investing in it either.. But who knows.. I was going to buy an S2000 before this so could still possibly happen in future.. The car should be on the road next week but ill have to take it off road for a week and fully underseal it :D keep it rust free for a long time... I'd like to replace the front windscreen to the original bronze and get rid of the blue, and then fully paint the car again to get rid of the tiny wee blemishes here and there that I'm fussy about.. The shell is immaculate which is the main thing.. Not one spec of rust to be found.. :D I wouldn't want to buy a car that I'd have to start doing a lot of welding etc too.. Just glad I can get all the help I need on 4GUK about these.. :top:

Bronze windscreens are hard to come by. Good luck on the hunt for parts

Donnelly & Taggert Honda. It was around £260 for blue windscreen if I remember right and £470 for bronze because he laughed and said there's a good reason they put blue screen in my car at the time rather than bronze because of price... I need the bronze in it but will get that done through insurance windscreen cover if a 'stone chip' ever appears before I decide to get it fully resprayed..
