well bit of an update after looking everywhere for 1400 carbs,i found a set but were damaged and were in no condition to be put on the car.
I made use of them and used the jets in my 1600/1500 carbs.
Got them on and running today..DELIGHTED..
But theres still a bit of work involved..
although the car is slightly overfueling im going to advance the timing to work with the fuelling issue..
The vacuums are being corrected as soon as i get a diagram or a dual carb to base my comparison on..
Then the car will be ran on a dyno as soon as i add a few more mods..
The car is down on power at the moment but will all be sorted during the week..

Also, can anyone tell me a good distributer to run for my setup?

Thanks for reading

Right went back to the drawing board on the whole carb situation..

Got new ones again, :P
Re-jetted them and internally cleaned them (the old jets were fcuked)
1500 loom
And went for take 2
And what a difference..

Although they are drawing air through the couplings joining the mani to the carbs

Nice! 8)

I would have kept the OEM D15 needles in the carbs (not the D14 ones) as they have a more agressive taper

May I ask how you went about re-jetting them???

I Dis-agree with the D15b Needles.

The D14 Carbs Run Very Rich at WOT As it is, D15B Needles just make the problem worse!

I saw a change of 0.2 in my AFR's Changing needles

To a point I agree Gizmo...although am I right in thinking he has put D14 needles into D15 carbs???
I am running D15 needles in my D14, and got it tuned, no problems really with regard to running rich now it's properly setup.
