EF9 lca's and suspension

Post by ramzan_anwar »

hi, i want to get some coilovers from funky power for my EF9,
so i hav to get JDM ones beacause my rear setup is eye type, can i get any aftermarket lower control arms for my car,

what do u lot think, shall i just get a uk copilovers with uk lcs's,
is their any performance difference???? i dont think so

im thinking of it from all angles, will it be better for me to get uk spec as i might wana sell these later incase i upgrade or something???

they will be the same, and act the same, just different fitment
most aftermarket LCAs are for UK type shocks

if you buy aftermarket LCAs you are upgrading, and get good shocks then you will not need to upgrade

what coilovers are you going for?

I dont think there is any performance differences. I, personally, have not seen any aftermarket loop-eye LCA's....so I would just get some non-JDM 'Skunk2's for example.

A really good aftermarket LCA is only going to show any benefit in the most extreme of driving conditions ...e.g. rally-cross. I dont think with basic track days there is any noticable performance difference....it's the harder bushes that make the difference. They look great though...having a bit of tastefully done 'bling' is always good.

If i was you, i would do the same as what has been said above. Get some fork type fitment ones, and get some LCA's at the same time. Aftermarket LCA's weight a hell of a lot less than the OEM ones aswell.

The only company ive seen that do loop eye type aftermarket control arms are function 7. They do look bling! 8)

Do let me know what you go for and how the ride is.

Do the d2/skunk2/blox etc arms take same bushes as oem?
