10 k plus insurance

Post by perfectionist »

Nephew passed his driving test on tuesday, he's 17 and i gave him my trusty Starlet SR.

BUT! Insurance quotes are coming in between 17 and 20 grand

Although Adrian Flux cut it in half to 10 grand

Got 1 call this morning and i just laughed down the phone when the bloke said he could save us upto 10% on the 17 grand quote.

Suppose it's a polite way of saying ''feck off'' :x

How long ago was that?

I think it's got more to do with post code and age of driver nowadays.

Starlet SR was really expensive for my brother as well.

He ended up with a mini on a 10 month policy with elephant. Wasn't to bad as he had a stage one kit, exhaust and alloys added for a small amount which made the car a bit more fun.

Fiat Cinquecento came in at 7k to insure.

I'll try a Yaris.

Were looking into black box thingy now.

I might even try a different address to see how much of a difference it makes depending on where you live.
