Post by the_ef_word »

so like the title says, iv done the manual conversion my GL and iv had to make do with the rear gearbox mount from my auto as i forgot to get hold of a manual one! :( the problem is that the auto mount blocks the path the speedo cable has to take so im driving aroud with no speedo and im really worried, if you can help me out id be so greatful as iv searched high and low and came up blank. im sorry this isnt a actual topic and i wont be suprised nor upset if its removed but this is my last shot to try and find one. thank you kindly

I know this might sound really bodge, but can you not drill a hole for the speedo to go through in the meantime?
Making perfection isn't always easy,

But I ain't got nothing but time!!!

Youll likely have to find a breaker dude. Or try and do a temp measure as callum has suggested above.

Or if you can weld it would be a doddle to make a mount 3x holes and some straight 2/3mm steel

Yeah thank you guys, the way the mount sits its quite difficult (for me lol) to drill a hole through it as its perfectly on line with the seam on the mount if that makes sense, I think your right about holding out for a breaker :/ thanks alot guys :)
