i have been offered a 1999 civic aerodeck with a b18c4 engine , is it worth putting the engine in my civic vt ee9, also it has 4 stud wheels ,will the brakes fit my car is it worth using them?
any info appreciated
they are sort after engines but mainly for boost and unless your gona go that route i wouldnt bother doing the swap for an extra 10bhp (altho they do have lsd's)
they sell for a fair bit on ebay so id sell up and put the proceeds towards a b20 and some other toys (maybe do a hydo conversion and keep the box)
that sounds like it could be the way to go,
putting a turbo on it is out because that would put me in a class with evo's and the like for racing, need to keep it upto 2000cc nasp.
I wouldnt rule out the C4 completly! We swapped a C4 into an EG hatch and it pulled really hard with a tweaked GSR map! Only downside is the box. Although it had LSD, the ratios are too long, which is why its ideal for boost!
However if the setup out of an aerodeck, im sure they didnt come with LSD gearboxs. Check the stamp.

do all the c4 boxes come with the same ratio's cause a mate of mine swears his mb6 is the same as his del sol
