WTF?!

Ok I have a bit of an odd thing going on here...

As a few of us know, this came up for sale on Car and Classic. You can clearly see the reg is J209 VUJ (this will be important later).

A few months later it came up for sale again but at a lot more money (£795). I went to look at it and offered the guy a couple of hundred less which he took.

Ive just been on car and classic a spotted this. Note the blanked out plates.

I bought the car from Middlesex on the 18th May, TEN DAYS before this ad was posted on the 28th.

Now the odd thing is that my reg is J401 TRD. So these are two different brown sedans both with 65k on the clock!?!? A DVLA check shows they are both on the road.

WTF is going on?!

The advert pictures show mudflaps on the front and rear and my sedan only has them on the front. It also doesnt have a dash mat but mine does. The history is HUGE, with the numberplate matching J401 TRD on every recipt going back to the day it was bought.

I just rang the latest advert asking about the Honda Civic for sale, I got shouted at by an Indian woman and 'do not call about the Honda Civic'.

She hung up.

Something isnt right here.

LMFAO @ MominF hassling the seller!

My opinion is they are two different cars but the guy I bought my one off used the advert and pictures to sell his.

Im not hugely bothered, I lost out on a double sized ariel and rear mudflaps but gained a dashmat!

Everything matches history wise and the VIN number matches the one on the original Honda service sheets from 1991 so Im not worried theres been any foul play.

Just a bit annoying is all cos it feels like Ive been had!

THIS IS WEIRD MAN.. just tried to search J209 VUJ on google to start my project thread (because i dont have any original pictures when i bought her) and it led me to this..I drive J209 VUJ!! and have been around that car for 3 or 4 years? so your civic and mine are almost identical. Take a look at her now..
