m8 i am 19,with 9 points driving a 16.16. had to re-take my test same as you.

all i did was insure my car with the same company as before and just tell them nothing about losing your license and the points.

simple as.

Avoid Nick's advice at all costs.
You are then paying insurance solely to stop it coming up as un-insured on the database.
They will not pay out in an accident, it's fraud, and you would face a definite ban if/when caught.

yeh, then prison mate

just search insurance sites...

www.confused.com
www.moneysupermarket.com
www.autotrader.co.uk

but u aint gunna find a 'cheap' quote, they will all be relatively high i think

could garage it, not drive. or garage it and buy a cheap slow car to get some NCB...

Im 22 with 9 points, (yes i learnt the hard way too) i have a kind of traders policy where they insure me not the vehicle, i pay £740 a year fully comp on one vehicle of my choice (my VT) but only to an extent (damn them it could of been an NSX, i wish) then im third party on any vehicle (if its registered to me or with owners consent) upto a maximum value of £25,000!

But you have to be 21 +

Oh and i do have 5 years no claims, so really its only my points that are letting me down..

If you lie to your insurence and you have to produce your documents to the police for being pulled, it will state on your insurece certificate that you have no convictions and if they aint half soaked they will realise your licence says different then you can face more points n fines through not having valid insurence at the time they pulled you..

My friend payed £2600 on a GL when he was 19 with 5 points.. i would hate to see what quotes you are getting mate :(
Never sell your 4G, Its always sadley missed!

Details please?

You'll lose your license because they will do you for driving without insurance. I'd also hope that they'd give you a jail sentence.

Nick, you'd better have a word with the people insuring J982EST pronto.
TBH, if Sky paid more attention to these threads with tit ends bragging about how they are lying to their insurance companies, it'd be nice to see them morally go and shop you themselves to your insurance company.

It's fair to say that you're attitude shows why you probably have those 9 points in the first place
