Barcelona Green EF9 SiR

Post by Ben_theEFking »

So after selling my vt I bought an s2000 which I liked but not only was it incredibly juicy and expensive to insure but I didn't really fit in it properly so it lasted all of 3 weeks.

I've always wanted a Barcelona green ef9 ever since I got my first 4th gen 10 years ago and I'd been speaking with the owner of this one for a while so I went for it. Picked it up yesterday, it's still unregistered and only covered 94000km which is around 58000 miles. It drives lovely and is in very good condition as you'd expect. It's all original except the wheels but they will be changed soon enough anyway.

Only plans are to obviously register it, get a couple of minor bodywork issues sorted, wheels, suspension and exhaust. I don't wanna mess with it too much.

Took some pics yesterday next to my old vt which a good friend of mine now owns.

Who had 3 weeks...? Haha.
Lovely looking motor mate I'd love one like that, untouched and original!

Beat me to it! Still second dibs it pays to get in early.

Very nice though. How the hell do you track these down? I never see decent VT's or SiR's for sale.

Another intersting build thread looming. :)

Prefer the grey one ALL DAY LONG
If only the fog lit rear bumper came with a square plate that'd be awesome, looking at the rear pics together side by side, the sir don't compare to the grey one BUT big BUT, the sir is not lowered YET so that may have something to do with the appearance but from first looks, grey one ftw! Bearing in mind you put alot into that one and this is boggo, when you've put a few hours into this, no doubt it'll match if not conquer the grey one!
Good luck with the build buddy, always a treat to follow your threads! Respec B

Absolutely love it. Looks in very good nick.

Get the body sealed/rust proofed ASAP.

Wire brush, Schultz on a gun and fill the sills with Dynax.

Grey one is great but as I say I always wanted a barca green SiR so it had to be done. I admit in the pics sat next to the grey one, the VT does look superior but I haven't done anything to the SiR........yet 8)

Thanks Ian. I can't quite believe how clean it is myself especially underneath.

Yeah that will be happening as soon as it's hot. I don't want to risk trapping any moisture in there.

Unfortunately not Stu although I will be there in my old grey one. Are you going?

Hopefully by some means, got to keep my finger in so to speak.

Everytime I log in here I hope to see a PM from the chap that bought my VT offering it back. One day..... and so long as its after we've moved to the new house I'd snap it up.
