The question thats been asked a million times

Post by tobiasnugent »

Firstly i apologise, i have an inability to use the search function, this is not due to lack of trying SRB spoiler and many combinations brought no results that had an relevance so here i am asking a question i know has been asked a million times.

What is the fitment like of the SRB, what spoiler does it need to be mounted to, how should it be mounted(tape etc) ?

Again i apologise :D

Ask Joe F about SRB, I'm sure he had one and sent it back at the fitment was terrible.

They are replica of the genuines, and mount in the same way, they slip over the original spoiler. Depending on which spoiler you buy dictates which OEM you mount too, IE uk or SIR.

I mounted mine using a stikaflex type adhesive, "sticks like S*!t"

It will be getting mounted to a standard 16v spoiler if thats possible. I do sort of recalling something about the fitment being S*!t.

Whats the best place to acquire a genuine one then as i only know one place and there american. ICB motorsport or something

Ive literally just got one, check my thread out you can see it "resting" on it there. Mine seems to look like it will fit okay, its a bit rouge around the edges and needs a clean up and fresh primer and paint. but it looks like it will fit!

Yep, mine was poop.
Was all warped and out of shape, I asked to try swapping it for another as I thought it might've just been a bad one but they were too busy calling me incompetent to swap it, so I just got my money back.

Buy the wings west version, its a complete spoiler, not bonding to the stock wing... its more expensive but a straight bolt on fit.

The GRP version is about 250 plus shipping.

You can get the genuine Live sports and Chargespeed for same price but they still need bonding on...

I had an SRB version of these. Condition is ok. Needs surface work to have a good finish on it. It is good fitment however. I would try and source some independently mounted spoiler though to save wasting a good oem one. Fitting adjustments would possibly be easier with one not mounted over original spoiler also
