Luke's Panda ED7 Extreme Offset Steels Update

Post by LukeReg9 »

8) Thought its finally time to start my build thread on here. This is my first Honda, wanted an ef for years and found Ben was selling this one locally with a knocking bottom end but with a spare d16a9 engine so snapped it up! Plans atm basically are a good clean up and some mods for occasional trackday/fast road use, untill i get my act together and save some money for a k20 (have a mate who specialises in them)
It had some minor mods already when i bought it: stripped and carpeted rear, c-pillar brace, kyb eg suspension setup, ebay air filter, white fat 5s, 4-2-1 and middle box delete and de-wipered rear.

Anyway pics!

From the for sale ad

I then attempted to drive it home with the bottom end problem against bens advice and kind of as expected this happened!

Engine out

And refitted

Since then i have fitted a set of dc2 teins which i got on civiclife and fitted my ronal ls' which i had lying around (need to put the centre caps on though!) Also got an import front plate and some yellow bulb covers, got some more bits on the way in the post.
Not 100% happy with the height but they were never going to go as low as a proper set of ef coils and the handling is spot on so i can live with it for now, may take the helpers out to give it just a touch more lows.

and one with my mate richards gl, also recently purchased from here (progress coming soon)

Will try and keep this updated regularly as i will always be doing bits and pieces!

Big end shells were pretty bad and the bolts on it snapped, put holes in either side of the block!

Wheels are in need of a refurb tbh so a colour change may be on the cards anyway, where can I get the genuine amber sidelights? I'm not mad about these but prefer them to clear ones

Home-made shifter extension

First attempt so it's not the best, but plan on making a few more to possibly sell in the future
