Just had a thought since my car is over 20 should that be classed as a classic? Was thinking if I could get classic insurance?

Not sure on that one buddy, these old girls ain't old enough I don't think to fall into the classic category just yet, pretty sure the car has to be 25+ (GOOGLE!)

its a wierd one. i always thought it was 25, but my mate had is 1989 CRX insured as a classic car. only thing is you dont build up any NCB and couldn't use it for commuting

I had the civic insured on a classic policy a few years ago and worked out at about £90 fully comp but meant I could only do 2000 miles a year (ended up doing 8000 that year lol)

 £90 id just have taken 4 policies to make up the difference haha :OD

As far as i know it should be 25 years old or maybe is suppost to be like tax so pre 73. But i know quite a few who have insured their cars non classic policies. They have cut down on it now though, adding age restrictions etc i looked into it and i couldnt get mine on a classic policy due to age :(

Some are over 21's some are over 25's, made no odds to me as im 19  Car age im not sure on though bit of a grey area. Ive known people to get 15 year old cars on classic policies. I think it just depends on the insurer really. Give a try might well work out for you :top:

^^^^^^^^ x 2

Lancaster were always good when it came to insuring my old Landys, never thought about seeing what they'd want for the Civic. Hmmm

I pay 126 a month for ten months with direct line, I'm 20. What's every one else getting?
