1990 Civic Sedan
1990 Civic Sedan
So just before Christmas I snagged this off the Bay of E for a meagre 255. Seemed no-one else was interested in buying it so close to Christmas, so I hopped on a train to Harwich and drove it home.
It's your typical "two-pedal special", one-owner from new, 49k miler as most ED Civic saloons seem to be, as well be being totally mint replescent in brown velour and plastic inside, and only a few rust holes on the outside, mainly on the rear arches [typical for this model of Civic], and bizarrely around the aerial at the top of the A pillar [the sunroof drains underneath, so may be a contributory cause].
So anyway [mainly because I'm rubbish at taking 'in-progress' pics], after a bunch of money and time later, it's now at this stage.
Got camber? Watch out nuns and kittens!
The list of parts includes: TA Technix coilovers with Rally Design front springs, as the originals appeared to be rated for use in a biro. SkunkPro2 front upper camber arms, generic Chinese rear camber arms, 'top hat' top mounts all round, Team Heko wind deflectors, 4x100 to 4x114.3 adaptors, Toyota Celica Supra MA61 'Iron Cross' 7*14 ET8 alloys, stripped and refurbed in Mercedes Brilliant Silver, with Nankang 165/65R14 tyres, plus the old OMP-esque wheel out of the Cuore with relevant Civic boss. I did have a Golf III VR6 lip on the front bumper, but I managed to smash it into several pieces after only 10 minutes of fitment on crossing the third speedbump after coming out of the Dungeon. I also debadged the rear and red tinted the rear indicators.
Plans are to refit some kind of rear silencer, after an exhaust c*nting session left it looking much more awesome, but sounding like a blue whale farting down a sewer. There is an alternative set of wheels and tyres on the horizon, but I'm in the process of stripping and painting them.
There 'may' be a manual conversion in the future, but to be honest I only really bought and built this on the cheap as a daily, so it will probably be left as an auto and moved on once the Yugo is back on the road.

Re: 1990 Civic Sedan
New direction.
The MA61 Iron Cross wheels were only a temporary solution, I've been wanting to fit these to a car for a long time.
Note I've also re-fitted a GOlf VR6 lip [this is the second one I've had, first one was smashed off on the speedbump 10 mins after fitting!]
