Project Silver Shuttle (New Wheels!)

Post by Ben_theEFking »

Some of you already know but I have bought Ned's shuttle. Had my eye on it for a while and was waiting for it to come up for sale and when it did I snapped it up. 8)

I collected it off Ned today and I'm well pleased with it. It's very clean and pretty much rust free. The 'mini me' engine conversion is impressive and runs very well. Went for a bit of a drive today and it felt great. Suspension is very low and crazy stiff but handles well on smooth ground.

There's quite a few bits I want to sort out. The drivers seat is ripped and in pretty poor condition so I'm on the look out for another. I want to get a decent stereo in there, a new deep dish steering wheel, some floor mats and a general clean up on the interior.

Outside as mentioned the bodywork is very good although the roof and 'c' posts could do with a respray which I will get done at some point. Just needs a damn good clean and polish where it's been sitting a while which I plan on doing tomorrow if the weathers good.

The main thing I want to do is get a new set of wheels 15x8 although I'm not sure what to go for at the moment. It's rolling on gizmos old rusty steals at the moment

Didn't take many pics as it started raining but here's the 2 pics I did take.

Like I say no huge plans, just make her mint (to match my civic  ) tidy a few bits up and get some tasty rims on her. This is going to be my cruiser 8)

Well I collected the keys off of you

I bet mate. It's understandable as you had it so long. Don't worry it's in good hands and I won't fit Rotas to her

Yeah I'm gonna take the stickers off and give it damn good clean and polish tomorrow.

I was thinking NS2's. Wouldn't mind a set for this with a deeper dish. Was contemplating buying Marc's but I'm skint now after buying this

I must admit the driving position is awesome and it's more comfortable. I also like the extra headroom and bigger boot as well but......

I still love my civic. :)

Sweet!

No it's staying silver. As much as I would love to have it painted black it's a lot of work and a lot of money. I don't want to spend a fortune on the shuttle. Im planning on it being a cheap project. The big money goes on the civic. (well that's the plan anyway)
