Hey there chaps

Been wanting to sign up on here a while now but dont have a car so dint feel right :oops: and more to the poiint a lience

But now i have a lience and i am on the look out for a civic

First fell in love with this type shape when my father R.I.P had one all i remember it was black and last three didgets were MLC such a lovly motor

and hopefully i will own something or other like this

Im 17 but i dont want a super fast civic 1.3, 1.4 maybe just nice wheels and a little lowering when i am a more experined driver i will make it quicker engine swap ect ect

Sorry if i am babaling on but that me over thanks :oops:

If you dont want a super fast civic i would avoid the dual carb 1.4 :D

Pretty sure every 1.4/GL doesent come with a Bistimo cam :lol: :lol:

Your fathers 4g was probably a 1.6 16v as it seems alot of the 1616 had MLC as the last digits of the plate

Yes i thought it was a B16 but now i have been useing the Search key and it seems he had a DOHC 1.6 but not a vtec :?

Didnt no this engine exsisted thought it was rovers only :oops:

GL would be a perfect first car, loads of potential too.
my brother has a black i16 with the last three digits mlc, seem quite common!

The thing thats puttin me of is that ill have to convert it to fuel injection and change all the wiring loom and mounts ect ect

I migth just buy a cheep run about have one of these on the side a project when its insurable

i'll be converting my GL to a D16z6 with fuel injection this winter, shouldnt be too hard tbh, i think the b16 swap would be a lot more work due to needing the mounts and a few other bits.

GL's can make 100+bhp quite easily

And some as much as 120+ which is not far off a z6

It depends on what power/costs you are looking for

Any 4g civic will put a smile on your face 8)

welcome bud. a good DX or GL would be ideal for you plenty of bargains about and lots can be done with them

Bargins ye but the problem is insuranc got a quote on ball2balls 16i 3950 :shock:

Then on a GL 3258

And then on a DX 2550 TBH thats gna be my best bet so im on the look out for one and to Edds comment they can make power easy bin reading Gizmos how to some really good info on there
