Bought the car the same month I bought my brand new 09 VW Jetta GLI which was 2 years ago this month 
Car has come a LONG way since then, and is still under construction. Slowly but surely I am building it to my specifications to be a fun daily/weekend track warrior/slight show car. I'm trying to spice it up but mixing all 3 up, stirring up the pot, and see what the outcome is... On to the timeline!...Picked her up, towed her home for a steal of a deal. Luckily I never tried starting the car, PO said it made noise, which had I turned it on, it'd have had a rod knock and probably broke a rod shortly after.
Next day...
Also began putting my black interior in IMMEDIATELY! Because the blue original interior was beat to crap and stained to hell and back.
Also installed GSR leather seats and center console
Just chillen after getting put back together... (for the most part
)
Clearenced my cross member for my 4-1 header

Tried starting it for the first time...
It was a FAIL... backfire like a mofo, come to find out someone plugged the wires in wrong at the dizzy....
Got it all right, and got it running, badly, but running...

Then went to a local meet and while going there I here this loud KA DUNK!!! DUNK ... DUNK ... DUNK ... tried figuring out what it was... come to find out the rear shock which should look like this...

Got it fixed and after my homie seeing my car at that meet he wanted to run me so the next meet we did just that...

Ended up doing a wire tuck... also cleaned up my engine harness...

picked up a custom 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust a local guy had on a turbo gsr 4 door!...
Got my wheels back from refinishing!...
Finally finished the car and took her to the annual ef meet with my buddy!...
Got my door panels back from my uncles shop...

work began on a custom one off traction bar...
Wasn't happy and actually still working on it...
picked up on these babies... circa 1992 ST sway bars when they USED TO BE blue...
painted them to new spec though since ps fluid ate at the powder coat on the front bar...
also picked up this stuff!...

Bunch of new ish koni yellows, gc's, skunk2 intake mani, blox 68mm tb, crower stage 2 cams, as well as installed new wheel bearings, arp extended studs, and lower ball joints, rebuilt manual steering rack, and rebuilt obd1 LS dizzy!!...
redid my harness and went obd1!!!
began my retrofit project...
back up and running..... AGAIN!... lolz
changed to a black vc...
last pic before being torn apart yet again...
then back apart AGAIN in prep for paint!!!
