I have a friend who's after crashing his dc5.

I'm just wondering with the k20 is it the same kind of work as putting a b18 into my carbed 4g.
What if anything would need to be done differently?

Could I use all the same parts that I could use if I had a crashed dc2?

Thanks, Cillian.

To put a K20 into a 4G is a LOT more work and a lot more parts would need to be bought if you want it done properly.

If you want to go Kswap in a 4g I personally would wait a year or less. Ive heard Hasport, Innovative etc will come out with the Kswap motor mounts that are bolt in. No fab work, cutting out your stock mount & welding in aftermarket etc.

it can be dont right now but you pockets better be very deep my friend. many expensive parts required.

stick to the Bswap for the win!!! :OD

The thing is that I'd be clinically insane to turn it down for the money it was offered to me for. K20a and box for less than I'd pay for a b16a. Aswell as that my uncle is a fabricator/precision/mechanical :P engineer with his own work shop that I'm free to use whenever I want.

Could anyone tell me the main differences between this and a b series swap? besides mounts obviously and space :P.
I also have a bike on the way to get me around while the cars off the road.

Thanks for the link si, that's what i needed to know. a k series is something ive never looked into until now unlike the b series which ive spent hours and hours reading up on

If its cheap dude, Buy it up and store it somewhere! Im a hoader like that, ive got 3 B lumps hiding away because they were so cheap, they will come in use one day!

Its also alot easier to get the kswap into EG's and the newer civics...

Also, dont forget, fabbing up the mounts is the easy part IMO, dont forget you need to sort shifter cables, and the dreaded wiring looms. ugh!

I like plug and play engine swaps. much more fun! 8)
