How-To - Fit an OMEX Rev Limiter/ Launch Control On Carbs
Pretty easy!
You can get one of these OMEX Boxes for around £90 New with Launch Control (Non L/C Versions Cheaper), you can also get them for around 60-80 Second hand, but youll have to watch eBay like a Hawk!
You will need a SINGLE COIL Version, the Twin coil version will Not work.
First, get your Dizzy, you dont have to take it off, i had a spare to work on first.
Remove the cap, 4 Self Contained screws attach it to the Dizzy
You will then be greeted with this
The 2 wires on the right is what you need, Top on is Black/White and the other Blue.
Or, Mine was Black/Yellow and Green, seems 20 Years of heat cycle has changed the colour.
You will need to connect the Blue wire to the Blue (or Green) Wire, and the Red to the Black/White Wire
I then cut a small section out of the dizzy cap, to allow the wires through without crushing them, id didnt take to much out, so that when the cap was screwed back down, it would press the wires into the rubber seal.
The Rest is pretty easy, you have 4 Wires left, 2 sets of black and Orange, 1 set from the box, one set from the button. Both Blacks to Earth and Join the orange ones together.
I Mounted my button through the gear gaitor so i could hold the buttom whilst i did the gear stick during launchs.
i mounted the box on the ashtray, since i dont use it. looks quite neat!

Job done, about 30 Mins work.

Ive gotton into the habit of holding the button whilst changing gear, this is greated by some nice loud bangs, and sometimes a sorta of "Anti-Lag" Splatter, at first i just thought it was noise.
Then going through town doing so, had some lads in a chavved up VTR following me, whilst i was doing said actions, parked up, and they were like...
"Mate! is that fucking turbo or summut, proper big flames y0!"
