Adam's 3G GT! Update - "30/06/2010"

Post by Adam »

Well I've finally got a new project. A mate of mine has given me his 3rd Gen GT civic.

He got another car and just hasn't had the time to spend on restoring this one, so after a few attempts at trying to buy it off him, he finally gave in and handed over

Obviously for free it's not a minter, but the whole reason he got it in the first place, was because the shell was solid. He has since replaced both rear arches, leaving barely any rust on the bodywork.

The paint has faded as the pictures show but last time he gave it a polish it came up really nice 8)

I also have all the missing bits of trim in the boot of the car

I'm really not sure to be honest... there's square patch of paint round them that looks like its been covered for a long time... my guess is maybe indicators? :? Although that would be odd so low down :P

Hehe, he was sad to see it go but he just doesn't have the time any more. He's got lots of fond memories of it. At one point there were 3 of us with different generation civic, he had this, i had my GL, and my mate had his EK9.

He's always been a fiat man though (his dad has worked for them for 30 years) and is into his uno/punto turbo's. He finally found a mint punto turbo after a long time of looking and went for it. The poor little 3g ended up sitting on the drive. He had every intention of getting it back on the road, but as always it never happened. He had a few offers from people but decided he wanted to see it back on the road, rather than wrapped round a tree

He's even offered to come and help me work on it if I want him to
