Insurance the faster car is cheaper ?

£1600 for VTEC

£1850 for 16v ?

Not a lot faster - 0.1 of a second difference to 60 iirc

16V's are probably crashed more than VT's.
There are more of them around and they are a cheaper car to buy.

It's much the same for when CRX insurance rocketted, once they became cheap enough that kids with fresh licenses could afford them all the premiums went upwards.

Now happening to tegs.

I wouldn't think it, Mine gets on Average 31mpg, thats mostly stop start driving and not really trying to get good mpg either. On the motorway I get over 40mpg easily.

Can't see a 16v getting much better mpg than that.

yeah, my mates 16v rex is better on fuel than my vtec civic. Think its cos i go over 5500rpm a bit too much. :lol:
