MOT

will the MOT center be fussy on:

A lowered car
No back seats

???
its due soon and i just need to know if i chould put the seats in 4 the MOT
and do i need to put the spare wheel in Etc

I think you can pass MOT without rear seats as long as you have removed all the seatbelt fittings aswell.

yeah the only thing taht remains is the actual rear seat belts because i couldn be bothere to take the rear cards out lol

ha nah when i went up to my mates garage to change the CV joint it was on the ramps fine but then u got to use a different jack because the jack on the ramp doesnt slide =P

As longs as your springs are not loose when the car is jacked up you will be fine. As for the rear seats... I do know that if you inform VOSA and say it is now a 2 seater then it will be absolutely fine for MOT...but as for not informing them first...I do not know.

Yeah you gotta remove belts n buckles too. If it's MOT'd without seats, you can't put em back in!

saying that tho my mate had a 106 ( lol )
and he screwed his seats through the floor and bolted from the underside of his car an didn fail the MOT lol

Honestly...it would be less hassle to just put the seats back in for the MOT.

What's stopping you?
They don't mark the MOT sheet.


MOT's: generally, if it aint there they cannot test it.

yea as above! no rear seats and buckles = mot pass (providing the rest of the car is ok :P )
