Sorted the Brakes out, new fluid is now in.
Getting the Supersprint Manifold on in 1 week with a decat pipe made up for it. looking forward to getting that done.

Had some fun with the Drivers door outer trim, the end bolt on the trim had rusted and snapped off when I was removing it, I thought about the possible fixes for this and then had a good old rummage in the tool boxes, I found a plastic Bar end off my bike and used the bolt which was around the right size to exact a repair.

1. Removed the old Bolt
2. cut the new bolt to the right length
3. heated the bolt up and melted it into the plastic trim where the old bolt used to sit.
4. used some epoxy resin/glue to set the bolt hard so it would not move.
5. used the old wedge part from the bar end to secure the trim (substitute dome nut)

The repair worked perfectly and did'nt cost me a penny as I had all the old parts laying around.

I will try and get some pics of the bits i used for the repair.

Thanks Merce, I waited a few years to find one as good as this!

Just dropped the car off to have the Supersprint Manifold fitted and a Decat pipe made up, looking forward to driving it later to see if there is any difference in performance. :drivegear:

Just got the car back from TXautosport, they did a great job of fitting the Super Sprint Manifold and a tidy job of the Decat pipe.

Looks good and sounds good so a nice little upgrade that was well over due.

I have done some more work on the Civic, the bonnet has been resprayed and a very small piece of rust was found on the left rear arch, got that cut out and welded at Custom Exotics in Harlow. very happy with the job and a good price.
MOT failed on Brake caliper so that was replaced and braided hoses put on all round, MOT passed after that.......hmmm what to do next?? Still looking at some Mugen RNR's and i need to get it undersealed for my piece of mind. :drivegear:
