Re: RED GL - Paint in progress
More paint
Before lacquer
After 3 coats of lacquer. I might put a few more on as yet, to try and get it more glossy. And I might 2500 grit it, to try and get rid of the orange peel.
Lower door not lacquered yet

Re: RED GL - Paint in progress
Looking good mate wet flat it with 1500,2000 and then 2500 and get buffing with G3 liquid compound with a cutting mop head, then soft mop head G10 finishing compound and finish off with a wax top. Make your you use farecla products, if your close to Birmingham i will happily do it for you as i own my own paint/body shop.

Great work mate, some serious DIY keep it up
Although why are you laquering it ? Its just a gloss so doesn't need laquer over the top its a solid colour like my Dx thats rio red

Re: RED GL - Paint in progress
Cheers mate, DIY indeed. I was gonna get it done at a spray shop, but for what it's worth I thought i'd do it myself. As long as it's near enough all the same colour I don't mind. As for the lacquering, I did it to give the paint a bit more protection.walsh123 wrote:Great work mate, some serious DIY keep it up
