More paint

Before lacquer
Image
After 3 coats of lacquer. I might put a few more on as yet, to try and get it more glossy. And I might 2500 grit it, to try and get rid of the orange peel.

Looking good mate wet flat it with 1500,2000 and then 2500 and get buffing with G3 liquid compound with a cutting mop head, then soft mop head G10 finishing compound and finish off with a wax top. Make your you use farecla products, if your close to Birmingham i will happily do it for you as i own my own paint/body shop.

I'm not near birmingham sadly :(, but cheers for the advice :) I will compound it all when I'm finished doing all the paint.

Great work mate, some serious DIY keep it up :top:

Although why are you laquering it ? Its just a gloss so doesn't need laquer over the top its a solid colour like my Dx thats rio red

Cheers mate, DIY indeed. I was gonna get it done at a spray shop, but for what it's worth I thought i'd do it myself. As long as it's near enough all the same colour I don't mind. As for the lacquering, I did it to give the paint a bit more protection.
