Been a long time since I had an update to give!

Managed to get my hands on a full D16A9 not too long ago. Comes with all I need (fingers crossed). Very excited!

Going to get some pictures up of it soon, and hope to get the engine swap started when it gets a bit warmer and brighter! Thankful everyone on here is so helpful so im not doing this totally alone, first ever engine swap.

In the mean time, have a happy new year guys and girls! 2014 will be a blast :drivegear:

Yesterday was a good day. Went and got my d16a9 from the lockup it had been kept at.
So beautiful

Anyway! :top:
Sorting through the various bits and bobs that came with the conversion. Most importantly trying to make heads and tails of the looms.

It all came from a mk1 CRX so the question is, How will the window electrics, rear lights ect.. all unique to the Sedan "join in" with the crx engine loom. Trying to read and understand but its difficult. Anyone care to share some light?? :|

Is it definitely a d16a9 beeing as it came from a mk1 rex? They run a zc (earlier version of the a9). Personally I wouldnt bother as looms will be different to a 4g. You'd be better of finding a 1.6-16 mk2 rex or ed7 as it will be far easier and much more compatible.

Hmm, interesting. Ill have to double check the engine, all ready got it sat in my garage see. Im hoping its a later engine, did the mk2 crx not have a d16a9? Maybe wiki will answer that for me. Haha

Think I made a mistake there Ben, yep. Its from a mk2 crx. Couldn't be from a mk1? They didnt come with a d16a9. So wiki tells me, such a muppet eh?

Ah if it's from a mk2 crx then yes it will be a d16a9. You should be fine.
