If you give it oposite lock surely the rack end will come out enough for you to nip it up

Also the locking collar needs bending over the rack end once it's nipped up.

You probably know all this but i'll tell you anyway

try tracking, as the vt rack is off another car, the track rod ends are adjusted for that car.

Full opposite lock no good not enough clearance. Just a little bit in i could get it a bit better spanner too big it was nipped up to the rack certainly not 5mm out or anything just couldn't get it as tight as id have liked. So just bought a 17mm 3/8 th's crows foot from Snap-on so hopefully that will make it easy tomorrow 8) Yeah i know dude i bent the collar back over the rack end

Haha its cool man, id rather be told just in case i did miss anything :top:

Ill prob do all this and it will just be simple i think i found out my pulling issue got a puncture on my left front tyre  only noticed today walking home that its a little low   So hopefully that will be one problem solved :OD

Aye buddy i had 4 wheel alignment done before JAE with the Vt rack etc on tracked up ok after abit of steering wheel adjustment. Just seems to be out again

Well i checked the front end 3 times before i went to JAE just went over all the bolts same at the rear but ill check everything again.

Oh the joys of the fault finding stage of a build

Right then little update on this.

Pulling issue solved, lefthandside tyre had a minor leak on the bead had gone a little flat and hense pulling so easy peasy whipped the tyre of bead sealed it and hey presto 8)

Also took the boots off the rack ends and double checked them managed to get lefthandside a little tighter with the crowsfoot Also swapped out the washer which locks it in place for one in better condition. HAs helped a little. So just need to get some tracking sticks and check my tracking again.

Also just a couple pics when out and about

Also cleaned up the engine bay with some meguiars quick detailing whatcha me calling spray stuff worked a treat for a quick wipe down with a rag 8)

Also gold bolts and washers added

Its all about the early spec 8) I thought about that but with it being a metallic colour it would come out a little odd. Believe me what i have in mind nobody will ever guess
