Re: Sedan 1991 GL project
so last weekend i decided it was high time for a Transmission oil change. Heres how it went down.
The drain plug was easy to remove just the end of a 3/8" socket. bit tight but wasnt half as stubborn as the fill plug, pictured top left just where the driveshft meets the gearbox. it wouldnt budge so i resorted to finding the speedo plug.
What i thought was the speedo plug turned out to be the reverse light switch. I think. hah but you live and learn i guess.
Here is the black shizz that drooled out of my gear box. rekon atleast 30,000 miles in there.
So, now to fill her back up. I had been recommended MTF-94 from Mr Lucas Tunnicliff. much appreciated buddy.
Now to devise a solution to get the oil back into the top of the box. Being tight on cash i had "borrowed" some macky donalds straws, taped them together and hey presto!
works a charm! haha
Here is the oil going in. 2.2 litres.
Now she runs a bit smoother. Gave me peice at mind that its all done now

Re: Sedan 1991 GL project
Yesterday was lovely and warm. 23 degrees down here on the IOW.
Decided to clean up those lovely Carb tops, grabbed my self some metal compund and metal polish and various polishing heads to fit a drill and went maaaad!
50/50 shot.
Takes a while to buff them up. took me maybe 2 hours i think. so much fun though.
Finally on the car to finish the day up nicely
