my ef temp guage only rises when im in idle in traffic as soon as i get on the open road it just drops to more or less stone dead cold and its doin my head in :evil: has anyone come across this problem before its an ef2 z5x s-limeted is there a way of stoping this happening????

i aint bleed the system wit the heating on but im pretty sure it aint the stat i own it 3 years and this is my second engine and both of then done it :?

the engine im usin is d14a aswell is there another spot for bleedin other than the point leading from the rad to front of head??? i dont generally use my heaters unless i ave to becaus it seems worse when there turned on

my daily does the same , doesnt bother me much exept when the auto choke comes back on!!! :evil:

My mates EG siR did that. he changed everything for new parts, still happened. ended up just putting a new engine in

x2 my ef2 has the same , hope she'll run with the bike carbs , as the vac box and carbs has connections to the engine loom :evil:

i put an irish set of carbs on it today still need a bit of tweekin but have to say much more responsive and know worrys about the auto choke now!!!! as for my heatin its still at the same S*!t im puttin it down to my rad being big enough to run bus :lol: so ive plased a square pice of plastic in front of half it seems to do the job

1.4 GL carbs? and it runs ok without the vacuum box etc. connected?

if thats the box wit all the black hoses goin 2 it then ive got rid of it had to do a fair bit of tappin of water pipes and vac hoses but seems worth it

picked this up today for a mere 150 euro 5 months test and its running ok need to put the manifold on to it take her for a spin and see how tight she is :lol:
