Have to say the increase in road noise etc... is minimal as I've covered the back with carpet and the speakers drown out any general noise at coasting speed.
I found that I heard stones and stuff hitting the arches a lot more, but then I rarely have my head unit on, I always prefer to listen to the car.
Cruising round town theres no difference but when the loud pedal is pressed it is much louder - but I love the sound!
It does sound good but I find when mine is stripped out its almost painfull beetween 8000 and 9000rpm.

lol yeh have to agree. the road noise isnt cool, especially when its wet!
my vt only revs to 8200! (where the limiter kicks in) - standard b16a1 block. EE9 CVC (sorry, don't know your name!) - have you got a b16a2 in yours? Must be screaming its head off at 9000rpm lol
Yeah, I'll see how it goes, the carpet seems to dull most of it but I haven't driven it in the wet yet - if its annoying I'll bung it all back in.
It was mainly done to ease the wiring (and give it a good clean, the first in 18 years by the looks of it) for my rear speakers but while I was doing it I went a bit further than I was originally going to lol.
Have to say the steering is definately more responsive when its lighter though.

yeh its good to do, then you can check out your arches from the inside
Got the wheels on today and replaced all the valves on the tyres too. Just in time to wtach the grand prix!
Don't think its too bad a finish for my first attempt (passes the 5ft challenge) and it transforms the car imo. Well happy.
Next thing is springs, I know the car looks like its on stilts and the pics below were taken on a lean so it makes it look aven worse! Gonna wait till after the mot in 2 weeks to do that though.
