Yeah, that's the plan. I'll just stick springs on it, as it handles really well already, and being a daily there's no point paying $1200 on coilovers.

Should be picking up the RNR's next week too.

Good to see you with a project on here again Marc, the DA scrubbed up really really well. The red looks brighter than my 54 plate Suzuki. The question is, does it stop you missing the Speedboat?

Yeah it's nice to be in the 'groove' again, going hunting for parts etc... I'm hoping to make some money from visiting the scrap yards too, as I could do with some extra cash.

It did scrub up well, but still not up to my standards. It has some chips, dints, bad fading in places... I'd like to get the bonnet and wings resprayed but not until I have my new job as it will probably cost $500. I will try and do the wing mirrors and door handles myself though.

If it had a B16 or B18C I would be loving it, but I do miss the Speedboat big time, mainly the engine... :(

Thanks. I always take proper care of my cars.... 8)

Got a few things to do tomorrow...
- Paint back box.
- Paint wiper arms.
- Finish cleaning the engine bay.
- Clean underside of bonnet.
- Clean drivers seat (it's a bit stained from a leak).

Then I need to just save up for the bonnet and wings to be resprayed.

REALLY want to get it lower though but it will have to wait a while until I have a few hundred $ spare.

Can you give out what you used to clean the boot and front slam panel? I got a lot of oil and gunk stains i need to take out on mine and i don't know what to tackle it with.. Was thinking brake cleaner to take out the most of it and then just some degreaser and scrub it down?

Brake cleaner might be too harsh, and lift some paint.

I brushed up all the crap in the boot first, hoovered it, then with a brush I cleaned it with car shampoo, and wiped clean with a towel. You could always use washing up liquid too.

For stubborn areas and where you have rust showing, squirt some WD40 on it, leave for 10mins, and use a thick cloth to rub off.

If there's oil or grease, use turps or a degreaser before you clean it with soap/shampoo.

I forgot to mention i'm going to respray the engine bay, so no worries about the paint lifting off :P
Thanks for the tips mate, i'll be sure to use them :top:
