Sadly the car has been crashes into, totally the other drivers fault which he agreed too.
the insurance company has got back to me to say that the damaged cost is to high for them to pay to fix it against there value of the car.
Even thought I insured the car for a value of £4500.00. They have come back to me with a fair matket value of £400.00 which they got off autotrader, looking at cars the same lol.

The garage that values the car also valued the damaged repair at £1600.00

If any one knowes for any thing similar for sale can you let me know so I can show my insurance. I can't find and myself for sale currently :(.

I will add some images of the damaged later.

If a 3rd party has admitted liability you should be talking to their insurance company directly.
Stop talking to yours. Talk directly. You have the right to do this.

The person at fault has a responsibility to put you back in the position that you were prior to the event.
This is covered a lot better on crx-uk - probably in the insurance section.

It doesn't help much at all, no; but the rules still apply.
One could suggest they have a conflict of interest in that situation and are doing the best for their own interests.
Again, not an excuse.

It really pee's me off when big companies try to bash the individual.
Just don't take their shite and fight back!!

Mine had go crashed into, third party admitted fault, I sent them auto trader and piston head adverts and they still didn't compromise. Your lucky to be getting £400 I got £150 and that's it and I tried doing everything to show them proof that the value of the car is much more but they still said that's how much you'll be getting and I had to settle on that

Doesnt fill me with confidence Lol. It's a joke though, no point in insurance it just stops the police from pulling you over.

Makes me laugh as I purchased the car only 6 months ago for 3200. but its only worth 400 to them. Cost me about 4k all together to get it from Scotland etc plus spending around £1000 pounds on it to date restoring and serving it etc.

So at the moment I've lost around 4500 plus interst on the loan I took out to buy it.

If your injured claim Personal injury/whiplash for which you should receive £2-2500 which should help towards the loan.
