the EK sold yesterday so i bought a head unit from a mate along with alpine door and rear speakers with a 12" sub / amp combo.

just about to head over to my mates unit to weld it up... then tomorrow my other mate mot's it... can anyone say pass

small delay on the wheels but they should be done by friday now... not too bad.

up-date;

just painted the car

started at 6pm and left it at 10pm so not bad. lots of progress pics to be up loaded but i cant be bothered at the moment.

tomorrow, giving the car a few more coats to try and get it looking half decent... but to be honest i think i will need to do it all again in the near future. the paint isnt reacting very well and is blotchy.

also, lowering it tomorrow and fitting the front lip.

might fit the speakers and sub tomorrow as well... depends on time though.

cant wait til thursday, get the wheels back from the powder coaters

here we go then, about 9 hours total work so as you can prob tell she is a bit ruff round the edges. lol

rolling into the unit;

ruffing all the paint up;

rear end masked up;

working my way round the car;

passenger head light masked up;

drivers head light masked up;

windscreen;

drivers side masked up;

after a few coats last night;

random "JDM" sprayed on the masked off windscreen. lol

golf vr6 lip fitted while she was in the air getting the oil / filter changed;

then got onto lowering it, snap while still in the unit;

few fast pics outside;

amber side light bulbs, cant see them very well;

A$$ end;

like i said she is a bit ruff round the edges but it should all come together... just needs a little more time spent on it.

just need a nice hot day to finish the paint, as you can see from the last pic it didnt react very well when it was cold last night.

only reason i did matt black is because its easy... might change the colour in the near future if i get bored. lol

no check roof for me dude, had that on an old EG so im over that now. lol

looks cool man. but when you take them off it will properly take the paint off
