A little update...
I've decided to sell the Mugen rims as I can't afford to keep them, and they will only get ruined if I put them on the shuttle, so I'm looking for some 14" 'watanabe style' alloys.
The Shuttle is getting booked in at DNR to be checked out, and have the following work done... some of which I would do myself but there are too many seized parts and rusty bolts...
- Rear arches and sills welding/painted etc
- Spray bootlid
- New RTA bushes
- Check for oil/sump leaks
- New brakes all round
- Swap springs
- Fresh MOT
I'm going to try and fit the roof bars tomorrow with my dad's help if I can, as its definately a two man job.

yeh Ned, he has spoke to me on HondaCivicWagon.com
Today I Nitromors'ed the roof bar feet, and sanded them down ready to paint later. Fitting these it the last thing I can do really, then it needs some professional's to take over.
And as I can't do much more, apart from still try and fix the fog light, I decided to give it it's first wash and wax, and it looks a lot better now.
While washing it though I did notice the rear drivers' tyre needs a new valve, as it's all rusted around it, all the wheels are going that way, so it's going to be a PITA painting that bit when I get round to it, and making sure it doesn't happen on any of the other wheels.

The front door is all good apart from this hinge has snapped off the inside skin...
Not quite sure what to do about that...
Did you fix it?
Both of mine were snapped off.
Unfortunately it's inside the double skin.
Best I could figure was to weld to the outside where it enters the door jam and try to make it look good
Probably take the door off first.
The column of rust on the door (pictured below) is total rusty through to the bottom inside the door
Did you replace them or sand and paint ?
Good job on the door handles and mirrors. I fooking hate spraying. I utterly suck at doing it
Gonna read the rest of the hread when I don't need to be working.

i just painted it (only one was rusty) as they would need to be cut out and new ones welded in which is a bit of a job. thats why i was asking you for a door a while back.

i now hate spraying. they have come out ok, but still need a wet sand and buff. two handles i dropped and they got chipped so i had to touch them up so they dont look great close up, but i dont care.
the car would benefit from a full respray to be honest, but to get it looking smarter its ok.
