Packaged arrive nice and early this morning - a Cusco EF3/EF7 strut brace - this is to clear the 1" ITR master cyclinder as the EF8/EF9 specific bar doesn't quite.
I didn't have much on, and has been raining, so fitted it and gave the engine bay a bit more of a clean ready for Japfest on Saturday.
I still need to give the manifold a bit of a polish, as I haven't since I had it properly done. :(

Cheers.

I feel the need to change the cam cover, so I want to do a B16B one.

How does the B16B one differ to yours?

The cam cover? The lettering is different and it's red, just so it actually looks like a B16B. ;)

Very clean bay mate. Strut brace looks well, may have to go for something similar, if not the same.

If you do, do it soon, as many UK suppliers aren't ordering Cusco stuff anymore as their stock is low in Japan and takes a few months to get here.

I got it from http://www.coordsport.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, as motorsportworld don't deal with Cusco anymore.

Engine bay looks very nice Marc.

B16B cam cover should look good and mark it out as being something more special than a B16A1

Got these off Weddy last week, going to use these and two of the others I have. These are the two piece though, so still need to find two more, of each.

Had a great day at Japfest at the weekend! While waiting in the ridiculous cue to get in, I noticed I am getting some juddering when pulling away, and I'm getting quite a harsh shift from the clutch, so I think that needs looking at. Might be a worn engine mount, but I'm doubting that.
The map needs a little more work too, so I'm going to take it back to DNR/Endless Horizon next week for them to hopefully sort it out, and hopefully find out why it's smoking and making a quiet knock too.

Been driving about this afternoon and I can't help but Vtec everywhere. Puts a massive smile on my face I tell ya! More so than the B16A1 did. I did like the A1 with ITR cams, but you notice the stronger engine straight away and I'm more confident with it, and pulling hard all the way to 9000rpm, and the noise it makes is just insane. I seriously love it, and my exhaust note is perfect.
:D

The Speedboat is nearly complete, just a few niggly things to sort, service parts (bushes/joints mainly) and bodywork.

It will never be 'complete' you will always want to change or upgrade parts. I do love the speedboat though. We were representing the 4g cause at Japfest 8)

I thought you would like the B16B, they are so much fun to drive fast and very rewarding.

And you were right Ian, it does scream, more of a yell though I think lol. I feel it pick up before vtec as well which I haven't really experienced before, around 4k, and 6k onwards is just pure joy. I'm happy I still have a 1.6, and glad I never had a B20.

I've not come up against much on the road yet. Had a little fun with a Corsa VXR, and a DB9, but wasn't much to write home about.

I've got a nice drive to Bicester on Wednesday. Hope it doesn't rain. :(
