Ben, Have you got a link to the eBay advert? this sounds quite interesting...
She looks alright there, i'd have bought it back for £1200 haha. Definitely does not have an s80 on, nor have I ever mentioned one being fitted.

dident go for 1200 i wish lol
the problem i have now is that its smoking in vtec so gonna have to do valve seals and might aswell do a full gasket but will this affect the cams and need timing

No mate, not a chance. The full truthfull spec of this car when I owned it is in the first post of this thread. A lot of work over a short period of time went into the engine build, there's a chance I damaged a stem seal when fitting the valves.
You can do valvestem seals without removing the head, it's just a little tricky. If you do take the head off, the head gasket and cambelt are brand new. You could get away with using the HG again if you wanted, but for the price of an OEM one i'd just replace it anyway for peice of mind. It's not hard to time up at all, I fitted the corresponding cam caps so the cam timing can be locked in place, all you have to worry about is the pulley.

Re: MattJ's B18c EE9. - Now Sold.
No need for re-tune if you are just changing stem seals and HG.
Whilst you are at it, have the valve seats re-cut and change the guides.

well im gonna find out where i can get this done coz no way i can do it
Re: MattJ's B18c EE9. - Now Sold.
Why dont you, buy another head (I have one £65). Have it all worked, valves done, skimmed, vew stem seals and guides.
Then have it fitted to your car with the ITR cams?

Valve seats can be lapped pretty easily on your own.

No Spence sold the car on to a trader who then proceeded to lie through his arse about the spec of the car!COSWORTH wrote:hmmm so is this dodgy dealer - spence?
