Decided against repainting the inner arches, as there's not much point.
I've never been happy with my replacement rear arches, the shape has been smoothed out, and I've noticed a few imperfections, so when I get back from Oz I will have two new arches welded in, new door hinges, and a complete respray, except the engine bay, I will get that done at another stage, and get a bit bits shaved off.

I've started to sand down the RNR's too, ready for some black paint.

So I decided to sand down the Mugen's, as I've not had any interest, and not much else to do this week, plus the weather's been great for a bit of spraying.
I'm to do them satin black, exact same colour my Watanabe's were, I think this is the only colour that will suit them. I really love them in silver, but there's no point if they don't work on a white car, plus I have a silver set on there way to me.

Here they are sanded, and a coat of silver Hammerite just to fill any imperfections and scratches. Tomorrow when they are dry I will wet sand them and apply the black top coat.

I am tempted to spray the centre caps black. Sacrilege, maybe, but I've never liked the look of the silver ones on black wheels. I will try them as they are first before I commit.

:D hello. wondered where'd you got to

TBH I can't see myself riding around with these in bronze. RNR's have such an awesome shape and side profile, I think satin black will accent it perfectly. For a white car, black wins for me every time.

Complete rebuild kit for your Y1. Carbon coated synchro's too. Or the kit is slightly cheaper with brass synchro's.

Does that include the hubs?

Im not sure if they include the hubs, I dont see why you would need them as it is the synchro that gets worn. Speak with Bill, see what he recommends.

Also, I think your car needs a different front lip, it would set the wheels off more aswell. Have you tried a CS one on it?

I have spoken to him already, and he said that if you have a bad crunch and it happens mid-range in the revs it could well be the hub.
