My mate Luke's old car
Almost bought this myself. Apart from the rear arches it's a clean motor.

that car looks mint, as for conversions b series sound ideal until you relise that you will need hasport shafts which means you need integra hubs, which to this day i aint found, or custom made which means you will find the cv joints on a 3g aint the strongest, mine lasted 3 thousand miles, although i have done a few drag runs (64 in total), they didnt snap just started to knock bad, also its pretty tight with a d, its a struggle to change the exhaust manifold, and had to massage a space with a hammer for the icv, also the weight of a b,
i am only running a d15 but have managed a 14.6, people give d series engines away, i would also recomend hasport mounts they fit amazing, just dont go for semi race as vibrations a bit much.
if you went for a d i could help you through all of the little headaches that happen, ps whats the car lowered on

I was thinking of getting the hasport mounts, but then I dont think a Bswap is gonna happen. I wouldn't mind going D16z6 but again, I'm sure ill have to still change drive shafts etc? Its quite stiff as it is so semi race is a nono haha.
Its lowered on KYB shocks and springs and the wheels are 13" so thats why its so low lol. I want coilovers but they are expensive and I dont know if they are available anymore. I know Tein do them, but thats it?
Thanks for letting me know you'll help man...
Is yours set up as a drag car? Got a thread of build on here?
Re: New to the forum (Honda Civic '85 GT)

got a few picks on here, just search my username, i used my std shafts with hasport mounts, as conversions go was easier, than my h22 eg is going to be, i have used my z6 3g everyday for 6 months, its great with a modern d better than the 1.3 auto i pulled out.
how does your car drive with suspension like that, does it bottom out, knock the inside edge out on tyres

Re: New to the forum (Honda Civic '85 GT)
@ Daz - Hmm?! Iv never come across a set of Gaz coilovers for this car?
@ DSARE - So you didn't use any other shafts, literally just the engine and box went straight in with the hasport mounts?
My EW3-d15 is pretty strong tbh, its a solid, torquey engine.
What other parts did you have to change, im actually thinking about this now.
The suspension surprisingly isn't that bad. It does tend to top out, but only when i go over a slightly big pothole. Because the wheels are 13", they dont rub on the inside arches......
Iv been told/searched that EF rear coilovers fit our rears? and also their front shocks?!
