Said i`d fit bonnet to see if i had major clearance issues wasn`t to bad at all was expecting it to sit very high like others i`v seen on american forums but nope does hit at the underside support and rocker cover corner, So started to raise rear to see if i can get it to clear fully but still hits and got lazy and said i`ll finish it 2moro

With alloy rad bonnet wont close so thats now scraped now need a b16 ef-9 rad

Image

Image

so took out half rad and tried again buda bing it shuts

Image

Image

So then start putting in washers to raise the rear to try clear the rocker cover needs some more washers stuck in later and will get fancy washers when i know how many i need

Image

Was prep-ping this bonnet for paint but might not be using it if i get the carbon one from Crex :D

more to come soon enough

Can you not cut off the radiator mounting positions and mount them lower to fit the alloy rad?

Well let me know if your selling re cored or as is :top:

@ Colin
Could do that but judging by the length of it it will sit lower than the front sub-frame so it would take a hiding on the front over bumps and on the quality Irish roads would n `t last long plus would look retarded sitting lower than everything on the front i reckon

Me either man no weight and a 2.2 should go like Shite of a shovel, can wiat to see your new motor looks so fresh in the pics 8)

Rad sorted and something else just waiting on it now cheers mark EE-9 :top:

Carbon bonnet soon :D :D

Then its just tracking down a drivers side fork type lca or a set of aftermarket lca`s and a set of front shock forks and it should be nearly ready to roll for the first time in 6-8 months

So raised the bonnet a bit more to stop it hitting the rocker cover had to trim few inches out of the under support but now its closes and can be slammed shut with no issues so happy out :D

A pic or two of my gangster style bonnet tilt kit a load of washer`s and some longer bolts for the bonnet

Image

Image

The piece i cut out and where i cut it out from aswell

Image

Image

And bonnet 100 per cent closed and raised and a very happy me

Image

should be doing a good bit to it soon enough
