Rolfe wrote:Yerr, cheers 4 the advice I've decided to add my mum and mums boyfriend when it happens anyway which will then only make it £1200 with Quinn! That qoute was just on my own. Do u reckon any 17 year old would be able to pay that much for a Civic's insurance unless they where aristocratic? :P In which case theyd have gotten mummy or daddy to get them a brand new CRV or Freelander  Peace
Im 17 and i was quoted 4000 on my own policy with quinn on my 4g
So yes i do reckon they could haha
I "Was" paying it till i realised..that money could be spent modding the car as apposed to just driving it as it was..
So i got a micra, put the civic away and started buying stuff..
Just waiting to get my proof of no claims now!

Welcome dude,
Sounds like some good plans..

However in my opinion..keep to B Series..
I never really liked K Series..

4000

That's 4000 per year on insurance.

That's 334 / month. 11 per day.

To earn that it will be 5000 gross

ie: if you earn 20K, 5K of it will be going on insurance before tax.

I suppose that shows how utterly moronic smoking is as well.

K10 micra is an awesome first car !!

Welcome - those are some serious plans, good luck!

As EE9 pointed out, you'll have fun with the stock engine for a while. I would also recommend buying a cheapo runaround whilst saving and doing up a 4g, insurance for under 25s sucks - get some ncb and it should soon plummet.

Yeah, it is a lot, but £1100 is a good price that you got, I am still paying nearly that tpft and I'm 21

I thought £2500 for my friend when he was 17 on a 1.1 106 was bad enouth.

There should be a huge YET on there as well. I didn't have an accident till I was 21. Going against the statistics I suppose?
