Don't you think I've tried that already!

Sorry mate, didnt think you would have asked an engineer to use a press and push it down.

More pics...

Harsh gashes on inside tyre wall...

Bent brake hose bracket...

I'm considering myself quite lucky on this... it could of been a lot worse, but nothing needs replacing, the wheel has no damage (that I can see), but I will take off the caliper/disc/guard tomorrow and re-assemble to make sure.

If the brake hose bracket wasn't there to stop it, it would of shot right down, and scraped inside the arch. Good job it was outside my house.

I still think it's a design flaw, I would be on the phone to Bilstein pretty much asap.

Get it sorted yO

It is sorted now mate.

Yeh I guess that is a weak part that needs attention. Don't worry I was going to call them. They might send me another one.

I've just had a phone call from Bilstein UK, after I sent them a complaint about the recent colapse of my shock... and they have pointed something out to me.... that I have the spring purches on upside down. Which is why the curclip was able to unclip.

This also explains why my car is so high at the back.

So I may not need new suspension after all :? , I will be taking them apart at the weekend after I pick up the car from Daz.

Don't I feel stupid!!

I told them to make there diagrams clearer.
