Didnt think there was much you could do to make your car better but you've found something, very jealous. Good luck with it all.

Stripped the block down, ready to go to machine shop for some overboring and decking.

The crank journals look in surprisingly good nick to me for a 100k+ motor, but hey what do I know.

Water pump looked paggered though..

Ahhh no bother, new ITR water pump has been paid for.

Just tried the B18C crank girdle and 3 mains caps on the B20, fits fine, however the issue we have is the tabs that stick out on the bearings are different from the B20, so not going to go there. Alternative would be to machine the B20 caps to match the ITR girdle.

However, Daz has offered me a Golden Eagle Crank Girdle for B20's so im hoping it's a direct bolt on with no faffing about. :)

Just dropped the block, mains caps and pistons off to W.Drake for some work, updates when I have it back ;)

if you don't, i probably will
i wasnt going to bother personally, but seeing as your build is a high spec one, it would be a good idea :top:

You confused me now.

I understand you like what is going on here though?

Marc, you probably wont need a block girdle, but hey it should come into use for me, I hear them Buddyclub Spec4 cams can make upto and past 9k  I wont be revving that high though...

Reliability is the key in this build.

Tahir if the BC4's are designed to be making power past 9k why have you chosen them.

Just curious :)

They are slightly smaller than the Skunk2 Pro 2 cam.

Pierrot (ITR forum) has had some fitted to his built B20, on an S300 he has made 218whp

Lots of peopl on HT have used them in b20vtec builds, and have made good power with 8300-8500 rev limits.

They need big air and a big manifold/exhaust to work well from what I have read.

Im hoping Edelbrock VictorX/70mm+TB/Big Bore Hytech/3"exhaust should provide that.

Tbone from HT has run quite a few different cams in his all motor B20, he rates the BC4's pretty highly..

I would've liked some JUN3's but they just cost too much.
