I'm pretty sure you have to declare it SORN if you aren't taxing it. You have to have it on private property if it has no tax, ie; your driveway/garage... it cant be parked on the road, pavement etc etc
Doesn't matter about MOT, its just road tax as your on the road so to speak, without tax. Therefore breaking the law.
