Mis-described part bought from forum.

Post by streaker »

Bought a Y2 box, from a member on here.

Sold it on for a build, but now its been fitted and tested I'm getting told it isnt as good as it should be

Should the person I bought it off cop for this ? After all he described it as fine when i bought it.

I've PM'd the party. Wait and see.

Problem is he described it as bought from CRX-UK, so the trail will just go on and on and on...................... :?

TBH I think the onus is on you when you sell things on.
Tho if you describe it as good condition as described by hte person you bought it from what can you do eh?

There has to be a bit of trust in the whole thing somewhere but then that's teh danger of buying second hand parts.

There is a danger, especially when not checked straight away :?

I will take a hit if I have to, but would rather pass that hit on, however far down the chain 8)

gearboxes arent the easiest things to check either, unlike say a seat for argument sake

if the original seller has any balls they will take the hit, and any respecting member of the forum will understand whats happened

yes there is trust, but also honesty!!!

if they are trying to worm out of it and they know they sold it under false pretenses, then NAME AND SHAME !!!!!
