DIY upgrade options for a nuggety old Shuttle

Post by DreadheadNZ »

Hey guys, I've just bought and fallen in love with a '95 fwd Civic Shuttle that needs a lot of love. I picked her up for $500 and fixed her up so she's drivable, but with all the rust, her terrible body work and a rattle can respray from a previous owner, it's not really worth investing in apart from keeping her running. :drivegear:

That being said, I'm loving the little thing and doing quite a lot of long distance driving. I was wondering what people have done to get them running/driving a little better? It's only a little 1.3 carby motor, but I've adjusted the valve clearances and replaced the air filter and it's running well enough for what it is.

I'm not gonna drop money in upgrading suspension etc but thought i could maybe knock up a rear sway bar, or a front or rear strut brace? I definitely understand it's never gonna be a rocket, despite it's namesake. If any Honda gurus have suggestions or input that would be greatly appreciated :D :civic:
