Hi
Anyone got a solution to fix a leaky tailgate light apart from buying a new one ? Tried taking it out and clearing it (draining the water out)

Are you sure the taillight itself leaks? It could also be the gasket behind the taillight..

Water is getting into the light?

The first and also cheapest thing you can do is just get a neoprene sheet off ebay and cut it to match your old taillight gasket. I'm almost certain that will fix your issues

Same here. The item I bought is
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-NEOPREN ... 0247776782" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
in 5mm thickness. Suggest you use the original as a template with a scalpel to cut it to shape and hollow punches to make the holes.
My car was off the road for six years, had a big service at Fish Brothers Honda, came back with water leaking into the boot through the tail light gaskets. Drove it 100 miles to Swansea and back yesterday through the pouring rain and it's bone dry in the boot today.
