How To - Auto to Manual, Whats Needed.
This is just a parts list. There are plenty of guides here on how to remove each individual part.

Re: How To - Auto to Manual, Whats Needed.
the gearbox mounts for the manual box and auto box's are different..so if doing a manual conversion you will need the mounts from a manual box/car
Re: How To - Auto to Manual, Whats Needed.
what sort of money to you think it should cost for the parts?
Re: How To - Auto to Manual, Whats Needed.
Need all 3 gearbox mounts
hole can just have a plate fitted over top and riveted in place if no access to a welder.
The wiring for the autobox. in my early spec i didnt have to do anything with it just i unplugged it and it works fine. However early spec doesnt have the auto symbols on the cluster so may well not be the same as late spec.
Its a half day job converting to manual piece of cake. Cost wise hard to say as everyone charges differents rate for the parts. But around a £100-150 for parts plus new clutch and gear oil etc

Re: How To - Auto to Manual, Whats Needed.
Hello,
Ive just picked up a Auto GL and im looking to put a B18c4 in,
Im finding it hard to get hold of the right mount kit because it needs to be Auto to Manual and D to B.
I have got access to a manual ED7 which i could cut a mount out of if I needed to but wanted to avoid any welding.
Im also goin to be needing a cable to hydro conversion, Which I dont like the look of.......... Ive heard an Integra Clutch pedal fits the 4th Gens???? so its hydro straight away.

Re: How To - Auto to Manual, Whats Needed.
you wont need an Auto Kit. As the mounting on the chassis is the same. only the actual rubber mount differs.

Full list as i did this again a couple weekends back
MANUAL Gearbox (Early Boxes are 21 Spline, Late boxes are 20 Spline - you will have to count the splines on the input shaft)
Flywheel and Matching flywheel bolts (Auto Ones are shorter)
Clutch Kit to match Gearbox splines and flywheel size bolts for pressure plate
Manual Pedal Box will need one hole drilling in to mount to the chassis/bulk head. also will require afew extra 12mm nuts to bolt on.Same as the brake master cylinder nuts.
Manual throttle cable (different fitting on the pedal box.)
Clutch Cable
Manual Gear Linkages, require two holes drilling in the car to mount.
All gearbox mounts (front, drivers side and rear mount)
Manual gearbox rear mount bracket
Manual gearbox starter motor and bolts as the mounting differs to auto.
As there is some debate on this. Drive shafts are not needed ! Auto ones fit fine in the manual box.
Early spec Gl's do not require any wiring to work.
Late spec Gl's require a piece of wire with two male spade connectors crimping on either end and the just plugging into a two pin plug. Basically just to complete the circuit.
I believe that is everything now

A 30A/40A blade fuse works quite well for thiswalsh123 wrote: Late spec Gl's require a piece of wire with two male spade connectors crimping on either end and the just plugging into a two pin plug. Basically just to complete the circuit.
