Manual one has like a large rubber bush on the end of the cable, im also sure there is a plastic clip that requires rotating?

Your missing a plastic clip that pushes into the pedal to stop the cable sliding off

Re: UK's First Teal EC9 *Manual Conversion,Auto Shifter Remo

Removed the auto box shifter today, was easier then i thought..took me about 20 mins and i was done so i removed all the nuts, bolts and screw from inside on the shifter itself

Then got the car on axel stands

Ready to lift off lol
Image

Removed a couple of 10mm bolts from underneath
Image

And then from inside on the shifter cable removed a clip which broke the cable loose from the actual shifter and then the complete shifter pulled out nicely,so i flung it were it belongs..lol
Image

And now it looks something a little like this

Next up will be the removal of the engine and gear box hopefully on the week end

As said above, the throttle cable that fits that type of pedal has a metal 'bung' kind of send, instead of the one you have, it's then followed by a rubber bush and a plastic bush with a type of release you usually find on telephone /network cables. Cable goes through the side of the pedal, with the rubber bush and 'bung' on the side closest the driver, the plastic bush then just simply pushes into the pedal bracket to secure it in place.

Past few days iv been busy fighting with the grease/dirt/oil on the engine block, trying to get it off so i could repaint it all with fresh vht paint..so first attempt was engine degreaser cans and all i can say is Sh!t! instead i went and bought some brake cleaner..so much better in cleaning..just spray it on and the dirt/grease just disolves...
