Re: RED GL - Paint in progress

Best way to do it bud, the more you do you do/can do yourself the better and not to mention more fun it is :OD

Ah fair play, just thought id ask as cost of lacquer bumps the price of painting right up.

Re: RED GL - Coilovers on

Post by STA93 »

Here's some pictures of the coilies fitted (sorry no picutres of how it sits, as I'm still adjusting). Been playing around with them a bit, adjusting the damping. That rear damper might not be 'as' broken I as thought, On the way out, but it's usable. What is happening is the damper is hitting the bump stop on harsh bumps (knocks) and the other side is not. but after messing around with damping, I've made it a bit better. So gotta wait for my C spanners to arrive, because i don't have a set of my own, and then I can play around properly. Maybe by winding the bottom mount in more and putting a bit more preload on, may take some strain of the damper (As still got room to go down lower) Fingers crossed that it will . I'll will have to see if anybody does damper refurbs.

One of the eg front forks, before rust treat and paint

Both forks treated, painted and on the shocks. I did them in silver hammerite as I had no black and could be bothered to buy any :top:
